U.S. COAST GUARD BOAT TOUR

 

During the 11th Annual Safe Boating Expo at Channel 

Islands Harbor, public tours will be available at the 

USCG docks on an 87' U.S. Coast Guard Coastal 

Cutter and a 45' Response Boat. These boats conduct 

critical Homeland Security Operations, Search & 

Rescue, and Fisheries and Maritime Law Enforcement, 

also tour other First Responders.

& 2:00 pm: Ventura County Sheriff’s Rescue, Channel 

Islands Harbor Patrol, Ventura County Fire Dept,

Oxnard Fire Department, Coast Guard Helicopter, 

and Gold Coast Ambulance.

*Safety Demos 9:00 am to 4:00 pm:

Fire Extinguishers, Flares, Life Jackets, First Aid, 

Kayaking, Scuba Diving & more.

*Agency Booths and Displays: Ventura County Fire 

Dept, Oxnard Fire Dept, Navy League, Ventura Sheriff 

Rescue, Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary, 

National Weather Service, Channel Islands National 

Park, Red Cross, Coast Guard Auxiliary, Ventura Sail 

and Power Squadron, Channel Islands Harbor Patrol, 

National Parks Rangers, Department of Fish and 

Wildlife, Vessel Assist and others.

NATIONAL SAFE BOATING EXPO 
2015 PHOTOS
During the EXPO, County Supervisor John Zaragoza 
of the Ventura County Fifth District presented 
a Proclamation on behalf of The Board Of Supervisors
 of Ventura County recognizing this event as the prelude
 to the National Safe Boating Week May 16 through May 22nd. 
Accepting the Proclamation was CG Station's Executive Petty Officer 
BMC Duff and Chairman of the EXPO, Auxiliarist Henry Goldman.
